Steven Townsend was the unelected leader of their group. He wasn’t the most intelligent but he was the biggest and strongest of the group and had been offered a college football scholarship. And so the three boys sat, anxiously watching the classic Coca-Cola bottle whirl and twirl, each of them hoping it would point to another when it stopped. Christine Baker watched the bottle spin, her eyes lit up with amusement and mischievousness.
