What's happening? How did I get into this?

It was an lazy evening in nightcity when Micayla goes into afterlife to look for possible orders from fixers.

The bouncer looks her up and down, every damn time he does, and every damn time he grins like an idiot.

Tough night? he asks as he examines my half-open jacket with a hole sticking out of it. Yep, you could say that. Are you going to keep ogling me or are you going to let me through?' I hate this guy with his smarmy demeanor and his gold teeth that he keeps running his tongue over.

'Oh charming as always, by the way someone inside is looking for you'- 'For me?' I reply with a stinky grin. 'Yop after you choomba, looks like you need someone to steal some blueprints, sounds like a hell of a lot of Eurodollars. I'd take it myself but sneaking around doesn't suit me' he replies, licking his golden teeth again.

If you do that again, I swear I'll knock your teeth out, I think to myself and push past him into the afterlife.

The club is full as usual and the same faces show up. I wave to some of them and go to the bar.

Shortly before I reach the bar, someone grabs my arm. Within miliseconds, my arm jerks forward and I grab at the attacker's throat. 'Don't touch' I hoist from between my teeth.

The attacker, appears to be a petite woman with extremely many modifiers. Her arms are metallic and are something I've never seen before and her jaw is just as modified. Small cables peek out but are connected to her throat with a flourish.

'Ohhhh take it easy' she says with her hands up. 'Is that any way to treat a potential client?' She grins broadly, knowing full well that I know immediately that she is the one who is looking for me.

'Excuse me' I say and let my fingers slowly slide from her throat, 'I don't like anyone touching me and certainly not unasked'.

She points to an empty table in a corner of the club.

Cautiously I follow her, she sits down and offers me a seat.

'Well, first of all, my name is Sylvia'.

A shiver creeps down my spine, her voice has a metallic sound and the wires vibrate with every word.

'Wow, that must have cost a fortune' I think to myself and continue to look at her throat.

'Is something wrong?\" she asks as she follows my gaze.

'No nothing wrong, I've just never seen anything like it' I say pointing at her throat. 'Oh that's nothing, I put that together myself' her smile widens. 'So now you want to know about the job or is my appearance so shocking that you'd rather refuse'.

A loud laugh erupts from my throat. This woman has guts.

'Oh no all good, well fuck off then, what do you need a mercenary for?'

She leans back and smiles, only now can I really get a look at her upper body.

Her waist is relatively narrow and end in massive breasts, probably a G cup and held in place only by two leather straps. With every breath, they move, I can't say that I don't like this sight.

The rest of her body is tattooed, with all kinds of shapes, most of which I can't even identify.

My eyes meet hers, I don't want her to notice me staring at her, but even they are strangely modified. They glow a fiery red. I've never seen anything like it, nor would I know what rib doc would modify them like that.

'So, what do you need? Raid a convoy? Shoot someone who deserves it? Or netrunnning?'I eye her, trying to figure out what makes her tick.

She takes her time answering and puts her metal fingers to her chin - 'Oh no nothing like that, I need someone to steal some blueprints for me, I offer 250.000 Eurodollars for the job'.

250,000 for some blueprints?

This job can make me a legend overnight.

'Okay, where are those blueprints?' I ask, sensing that this job sounds too easy to justify such a price.

They are hidden in a workshop, you can hardly see them from the outside but I have the address, a lot of security and not much space to take cover but I think you would be perfect for it.

She leans back against the table and her breasts press against the edge of the table, almost causing the leather straps to explode.

I think for a moment, looking into her eyes to see if there's a catch.

After a short consideration I hit: 'You have made the best mercenary your friend'.

A short time later...

Somewhere in Nightcity...

I'm standing in front of the building complex, which from the outside looks like a normal storage room.

She's right, you wouldn't know it was a workshop from the outside.

I scan the surroundings. No guards, which already puts me on alert. If these blueprints are so important, why are there no guards here? I ask myself and continue to survey the area.

In a niche of the warehouse I find a small opening where I can slip through - 'Jackpot!

I squeeze through the small opening and come out on the other side.

My eyes open wide.

The 'warehouse' is bigger than it seems. The walls are made of some kind of latex alloy and what makes this picture even stranger is the huge statue enthroned in the middle.

I scan the environment and finally find the security measures, everywhere are small cameras, which are connected by a netlink network.

I scan the cameras and upload a daemon.

With a loud 'Zap' the cameras fall to the ground, it was worth investing in a newer version, I think to myself as I carefully walk through the warehouse.

Endless corridors are in this building.

After a while I find a wall with 'Mainframe' written on it, but strangely enough there is no door, not even a keypad that can be used.

How the hell am I supposed to get in there?'

I walk up and down, trying to find a hidden switch somewhere, but there is none.

I step in front of the wall and touch it 'Maybe I just need to connect to the wall somehow...?'

A loud 'Hiss' sound is heard and a robotic voice says 'Access granted'.

The wall shifts upwards before my eyes, clearing the way inside.

I draw my pistols and wait to see if anything rushes at me but everything remains quiet. Cautiously I go inside.

Again, no guards, not even security cameras.

The hairs on the back of my neck stand up, something is not right here.

In front of me is a computer with an open relay, cautiously I go forward and look at the HUD.

*Pet Deamon blueprints* looms on the display.

I turn around one more time and check that no one has followed me.

When I'm sure no one is here, I unplug a link from my arm and plug the cable into the hole.

'Quick download and go for it' I whisper to myself, mainly to feel the silence in the room.

*Download complete* it sounds from the small HUD, I unplug myself from the relay and am about to leave when a system diagnostic is called in front of my eye.

*Uploading Daemon to new Host*.

'What the hell? I try to follow the data string, but can't grab it because something, or someone, is preventing me from accessing my own systems.

*Overloading new Host* My eyes widen? Overloading? What no no no!

An immense shock runs through my body and my implants overload.

I fall to my knees, my vision is blurred and none of my implants seem to work anymore. With my last strength I try to crawl towards the exit.

Shortly before I reach the wall, it opens and in it stands... Sylvia?!

'Oh hello little one!' she looks down on me like a predator on its prey.

I see you found the blueprints. A really nice thing this Daemon...'

She laughs and kicks me on my back, breathing heavily I look up at her: 'What....have you...done...to...me?\" I snort out between my lips.

'Oh, I didn't do anything, the Daemon is doing all the work' she leans down, only now I realize that she is standing naked in front of me.

'As you must have noticed, the blueprint is not a blueprint but a fully mature daemon, which...well, begins your transformation into my little latexpet'.

'What are you up to....' I whimper, my eyes still trying to find your gaze.

With my last strength I try to get to my pistol but Sylvia is faster, faster than I have ever seen before.

She presses her foot on my arm, which makes me howl in jest, 'I wouldn't do that if I were you but just to be sure...' Her eyes flutter open and you can see her typing something. Shortly after that my hud flashes in front of my eyes *Activating sleep mode.... Upload in 10.9.8.7,*

'no stop! Btte!' I try to shout towards her with the last of my strength.

*6,5,4,3,2,1*

'Well, as soon as you wake up, you'll look a lot different' she laughs at me and I feel my eyes going black and I pull myself to sleep.
