Author's Note: Thanks for reading! This was adapted from a work I posted on another site, but I really liked this story so I decided to change things up a little and put it here as well. It was always planned as a kind of day in the life of an unusual relationship, so as much as I'm tempted to carry it on and see how things develop in the future for these two I think I have to end things here.

It was really fun getting in the head of someone like the narrator. She was such a strong-willed character, broken but self-aware, knowing she lacks something but nevertheless living her life according to her own principles and wants. I wanted to make a realistic character who'd view taking everything from the boy she loves as absolutely necessary. Let me know if you think I succeeded!

As for the ending, I tried to keep it realistic to the characters as I saw them. The story of these two was never going to have a perfectly happy ending, bittersweet was about all I could manage. I didn't want it all to end hopelessly though, so I left open the rather likely possibility that things are going to get much better for Christian in the near future. He'll still be her pet, but maybe he can be a pampered one instead!
