Dazed from a lack of sleep and the ordeal the day before. Pilar waited

motionless in the darkness. She steeled herself to resist and be ready

for whatever opportunity that might present itself to escape.

“Let's get you up on the standing rack over there, its one side of the room you

removed the bells that had been pulling on her ears and breasts.

After the whipping Moira brought a spray bottle and explained that it was
filled with strong vinegar.

lot on your abraded skin,” Moira said while her voice went from manic mirth

to a sinister growl as she concluded: “Now you better brace yourself!”

Pilar rocked and twisted from renewed pain, and Moira stepped up to inspect

Pilar s red cried eyes closely:

“I really like the look in your eyes, so endlessly sad.” Moira said and walked

out and locked the door again leaving Pilar alone to her suffering again.

'Not only does she all these horrible things to me, and I am all so helpless.

But she have to gloat about it as well,' she thought and tried to think of

anything but the pain and the uncomfortable impression that her skin

somehow were stretched by the vinegar.

In the darkness her tears flowed in silence, too battered to cry aloud.
