Part 2: Cowgirl

\"Laya, kasma yun.\" Penelope stirred in her sleep. That strange, low voice, so familiar. Was it one of the new maids? If so, she'd have to make sure Mother got rid of the girl as soon as possible. None of the staff who managed to annoy her lasted very long. She rolled in her prickly blankets, refusing to open her eyes.

It must still be really early. She was far too tired to wake up now. Plus, there was something wrong with her body. Her arms and legs didn't seem to be working properly, and her butt was throbbing with every beat of her heart. Was she sick or something?

She squealed in shock as the blankets were suddenly dragged off her naked body. Hold on, she was naked too! She never slept naked! Her eyes snapped open, and she found herself staring up at a scowling olive-skinned face. Mala? Her whole body started shaking as it all came rushing back.

Grace, her own sister, had given her to this massive brutish woman as a slave. She'd been stripped, bathed and spanked, presented in front of a leering crowd of Amazon bitches and then tied up to be fed like an animal. And now she woke to a new day of fresh torments.

\"Kili laya.\" Mala shook her head, tutting softly. She reached down a hand and grabbed the princess by the shoulder. Still half-asleep, Penelope didn't think.

\"Let me go already, bitch!\" She snapped at her towering captor. \"How dare you? Let me go, right this instant!\" Mala cocked her head. Then her other hand flickered down, landing a heavy slap across Penelope's naked thigh. The young princess squealed in pain.

\"Na ran.\" The towering Amazon snapped. \"Ma laya, makar tos gosim?\" Penelope moaned as her cruel captor picked up another of those awful leather straps and held it out towards her face. She shook her head frantically, desperate not to get gagged again. When Mala dropped the strap her heart trembled with relief.

She watched nervously as Mala reached down her body and undid the rope tying her ankles together. Penelope wriggled her toes and slipped her feet apart, relieved at her newfound freedom. Her thigh was hot and prickly, and when she glanced down there was a pink mark in the shape of the evil Amazon's massive hand. She shivered at the sight. If yesterday had been any judge, this wasn't going to be the only time her snow-white skin was marked.

Mala grabbed her by the waist and lifted her up before she could even squeak in protest. She was put back down on her feet in front of the towering Amazon, but with her hands still tied in front of her there wasn't much she could do about it. Her gaze flickered to the entrance of the tent. There was no point even trying to run, for now at least. As awful as it might be, she'd have to wait for the right opportunity to escape. She was a princess, the smartest and most beautiful princess in the world. It should be no trouble at all for her to outwit these barbarians.

Her captor reached up and grabbed the rope still dangling from her neck. Penelope winced as she was pulled forward with a sharp tug. Her legs were still aching from all that awful running yesterday. Mala strode for the door, dragging the naked princess along with her.

Only the sharp pull of the rope kept Penelope moving forward. The thought of these awful women seeing her naked again made her stomach turn, but she wasn't strong enough to fight. She was pulled out into the cool morning air behind her cruel captor. The cold made her shiver, and she felt her pink nipples stiffen up.

The Amazon camp was busy despite the early hour. The olive-skinned women were rushing about on various tasks. Some were carrying jugs and buckets, others kneeling on quilted carpets, knitting wool or tanning leather. She even saw the rude one who'd ignored her polishing the tip of a long spear laid across one knee. The hustle and bustle was very different to the empty stone passageways of her Father's palace back home.

For a moment, Penelope was so absorbed in watching these towering tribeswomen at work that she forget she was being pulled around naked like some disobedient pet. Then a young Amazon kneeling by one of the tents looked up and saw her. Dark eyes widened slightly as they drifted up the naked princess' body, and the bitch smiled like a pleased cat.

\"Mala, laya karatar in?\" She called out, her low voice booming over the camp. That drew the attention of pretty much every other Amazon around, and very quickly Penelope found herself being stared at by a forest of olive-skinned faces. She shrank back, her hands twitching with longing to cover herself.

\"Ja ukala, Kita.\" Mala replied, tossing her short hair. \"Des tora yun.\" The young Amazon chuckled loudly, slapping her knee. She was joined by pretty much everyone watching and the whole camp echoed for a moment with low laughter. Penelope's gaze dropped to her feet, unable to face the mocking stares for one second longer. She knew they were all laughing at her. Laughing at the poor, naked princess with the tiny body and the big boobs.

When her cruel captor gave her neck another sharp tug, she walked forward meekly, tears in her eyes and her pale skin flushed with scarlet heat. Bitches, horrible, awful, evil bitches. When she got back to Father she'd tell him all about this. He'd send all his knights to burn this piddly little village to the ground and take every single person who'd laughed at her straight to the dungeons.

She hardly even noticed as she was led past the tents, and then out a little distance into the grass. It was only when she felt the tugging round her neck suddenly stop that she thought to look up again. In front of her was a long wooden fence, built around a large area of flat, grassy land.

There was a small herd of cows grazing on the other side of the field. Penelope gasped in shock. She'd never seen a cow before, but she was pretty sure they weren't supposed to be this big. Each of the animals was almost as tall as Mala. They were very shaggy, covered in curly brown wool, and had long, curved horns.

The princess watched nervously as her captor opened a small gate leading into the field. She held back, not wanting to get any nearer to those massive beasts. A sharp pull on her neck made her stumble forward anyway.

Penelope was dragged into the field and led down the fence off to one side. Her anxious gaze kept flickering to the herd munching away. What if one of them charged her? She'd be trampled for sure. Why had Mala taken her here anyway? Surely they didn't think she was going to stoop to looking after cows? That was a job for dirty, smelly peasants. It wasn't something a princess did, ever!

She was feeling a little happier when she realised Mala was leading her to a separate little field, cut off from the cows by another fence. That moment of relief died a painful death as soon as she saw who was waiting for her there.Leaning against the fence with her muscular arms crossed over her chest was that awful sadistic teenager who'd given her such a painful brushing yesterday. The mere sight of the younger Amazon made Penelope's heart go cold.

\"Uli, lo hurrian den.\" Mala called out.

\"Mala, ja tar.\" The young Amazon straightened, flashing a warm smile. Penelope frowned in confusion. Hadn't Mala slapped this girl across the face just yesterday? Why were they acting so friendly now?

She winced as she was dragged right up in front of her teenage tormentor. Once again, the sheer difference in height made her heart sink. She stood barely up to this girl's shoulders. What the hell did these bitches eat? At least she was prettier, she told herself firmly, refusing to sink into despair. And she had a much nicer figure. This brat's boobs were so small she shouldn't even be wearing that silly fur wrap over them.

A gasp of shock escaped her lips as Mala handed the rope round her neck to the teen. What was this now? She was being given away? Mala was her owner, not this sadistic cunt. She looked pleadingly at her towering captor, begging with her huge, blue eyes.

\"Laya, na ma.\" The tall Amazon growled. Penelope flinched back, not liking the hard look she was getting. Then Mala seemed to relax, reaching out a hand to pat the naked princess firmly on the head. Penelope froze, utterly unsure how she was supposed to react. \"Kana din to.\" The towering Amazon smiled.

Then she turned and strode away, her steps so long she was gone before the stunned princess could even react. Penelope's mouth dropped open, and for a moment she was on the verge of calling out to her captor. She wanted Mala to stay. It took a moment for her to realise how strange that was. Mala was awful. Penelope should be super happy that her cruel tormentor was finally leaving her alone. Only she wasn't. She wanted Mala to stay and protect her. The princess snapped her mouth shut, grinding her teeth together with frustration.

A gentle tug of the rope reminded her that she was now in the hands of the bitch who'd scrubbed her poor nipples raw yesterday. The teenager pulled her over to the centre of the smaller field. There was a long wooden pole buried in the dirt here, and a tall pile of large, dirty stones next to it. The princess watched miserably as her sadistic captor tied her rope firmly round the middle of the pole. Was she going to be left here? Why, exactly?

She flinched when the young Amazon turned to look at her. The teenager's eyes were narrowed, her lips pursed into a thin frown. She didn't seem to be any happier about this arrangement than Penelope was. The young princess shivered when the sadistic bitch stepped closer, only to gasp in shock when the rope on her hands was neatly untied. She twitched her fingers, moving her hands apart for the first time in what felt like days. Were they freeing her now? Maybe she could finally get this rope off her neck. Reaching up, she gave it a testing tug.

Thwack! Something bit across the back of her hand, leaving a stinging line of pain. Squealing in shock, she glanced at her teenage captor. The bitch was holding a long, thin cane in one hand, a furious scowl on her face.

\"Ma laya!\" She spat. \"Na tan luhi gara.\" The cane whistled through the air as she gave it a few more threatening swings, making the terrified princess jump and squeak each time. Penelope nodded vigorously. She wasn't supposed to touch the rope! She understood now! Why couldn't this awful girl say something instead of just hitting her? Now her hand was sore too. The young Amazon seemed satisfied and lowered the cane, making the princess slump forward in relief. \"Kala jun yul, laya.\" She grunted, nodding to the big pile of stones waiting by the pole.

Penelope just stared back. She had no idea what this bitch was saying. The teenager scoffed loudly and strode over to the rocks, easily lifting a large one from the top of the pile in one hand. Penelope watched in utter confusion as the young Amazon walked a good distance round the pole and laid the stone down on an empty patch of grass. The teenager returned and pointed vigorously at the princess, then back at the rocks.

\"I don't understand.\" Penelope stammered desperately, certain that the simmering frustration in the teenager's eyes wasn't good news for her. Sure enough, the sadistic bitch raised the cane. She pointed one more time at the rocks, then at the trembling princess. Penelope just shrugged her shoulders, trying to communicate to this stupid girl that she had no idea what she was supposed to do. The bitch snarled in anger.

Penelope squealed as the young Amazon grabbed the rope round her neck and dragged her over to the pile of rocks. She was pulled down until she was bent over, her face close to the dirty stones. Thwack! Thwack! The cane bit twice, searing across her naked butt. She shrieked in pain, kicking and stamping her feet. It felt like she'd been cut by a knife. She was sure she must be bleeding.

As soon as the bitch released her, she flung her hands behind her back. Her frantic fingers found her stinging butt and she gripped both cheeks tightly, searching for the wounds she was sure the cane had left. Instead she only felt hot, prickly flesh. There were two lines of burning pain across her cheeks, both right across the middle of her butt. Tears dribbled down her face as she rubbed frantically at the quivering, aching flesh. It didn't even seem to help, but she couldn't stop trying.

\"Kala jun yul, ma laya!\" The teenager growled, swinging the cane again. Penelope screamed as the awful stick whistled close to her thigh. The sadistic bitch bullying her was pointing at the rocks again. Why? What did she want? Then the young Amazon darted forward and grabbed another rock. She strode over to where she'd left the first one and dropped it there too. Then she reared up and pointed vigorously at the sobbing princess.

At last, Penelope understood, or at least she prayed she did. The naked princess shuffled forward over to the pile of dirty rocks, her gaze fixed on her teenage tormentor. She was ready to run away screaming if the bitch started swinging that horrible cane again. Slowly she bent over and tried to lift one of the rocks from the pile. It was so heavy she had to grab it awkwardly in both hands, getting dirt and soil all over her soft, white palms.

She straightened, straining to lift the weight of the rock. Her arms were protesting already. Princesses didn't haul rocks around, but that horrible cane hovering in the air didn't give her much of a choice in the matter. The teenage sadist was just watching now instead of beating her butt, so she supposed she must finally be doing something right.

Hauling the rock, she staggered over to where the bitch had dropped the other ones. The rope gave her just enough room, but it was pulled taut by the time she made it. There was a small mark on the soil, a little circle dug out of the dirt.

As soon as she saw it, Penelope almost fell forward, hurling the boulder she was carrying onto the spot. A frantic glance at the young Amazon watching her confirmed she wasn't about to get caned again, and she hurried back to the first pile to try again.

Her butt was throbbing so much, but she fought the urge to reach back and soothe it. The way that teenage sadist was staring at her she knew it would just earn her another few swats. Instead, she focused on doing as she was told, moving these heavy rocks for whatever stupid reason. She grabbed a second stone, which seemed to weigh even more. It was so heavy that she had to rest it on her chest, getting muck and dirt all over her boobs.

It soon joined the other three scattered around the mark in the soil. Penelope guessed she was supposed to be making a similar pile here as the one she'd started with, and decided to drop the rocks closer to each other from now on. She had to be careful if she wanted to do this right and spare her tender butt more pain.

It was only after a few more minutes of hard labour, when she was hauling the fifth rock she'd carried over to her small pile, that it hit her. Why was she even doing this? Moving a pile of rocks from one place to another just a few metres away. It didn't seem to have any point at all. Plus it was just so hard. This wasn't a job for a lady. Already her body was covered in a cold sheen of sweat, and her shoulders were aching with the strain. If this was so important, one of those massive, ugly Amazon brutes could do it.

As she dropped the latest rock with a huffing gasp, she made her decision. No more! She was going to scream and fight until these bitches realised she wasn't to be messed with like this. Even if they hurt her, it'd be worth it just to make them stop forcing her to do this awful work.

Her planned rebellion lasted up until she raised her head and saw her teenage tormentor glaring at her. The bitch was swinging the cane back and forth through the air, like she was waiting for any chance to use it.

Penelope swallowed nervously and bent back to her task. Her butt was still stinging, and she was sure by now the two lines of agony had prickled up into lurid red welts. She couldn't risk any more. She needed to be smart about this, wait until the right time.

So it went, on and on. Each rock Penelope carried seemed heavier than the last, putting more and more strain on her soft, pampered body. As the day wore on, it took her longer and longer to move them even the small distance she needed. Every time she'd thought of fighting or running, just a glimpse at her dark-eyed torturer and the wicked cane had frightened her into obedience.

The princess was in a miserable state. Drops of sweat clung to her heaving body. Her mouth and throat were dry, and she was panting and gasping for each trembling breath. She'd stopped thinking about anything but the rocks. Her world had shrunk to that little spot in the dirt, and the small pile she was building next to it. She'd lost count of the number of heavy stones she'd moved, but that didn't matter. There were always more still waiting for her.

\"Laya, kudun!\" A familiar voice shook her from her trance. Her head flickered up from the latest muddy rock she'd dropped on top of her pile. Mala was striding over across the field, waving a hand at her. Penelope smiled before she could think, her own aching arm twitching up. She almost started waving back before a heaving gasp of exhaustion paralysed her and she had time to think about what she was doing.

She wasn't happy to see that bitch! She wasn't! Mala had brought her here, remember! Her plump lips curled into a furious pout and she turned her head away to let the bitch know she wasn't at all pleased with any of this.

Her gaze widened in shock as she saw the empty spot where the her teenage tormentor had been standing. Somehow, the young Amazon had slipped away and was now standing in the other field with her back turned. Instead of menacing the princess, she seemed to be watching the cows graze. How long? Penelope felt an icy ball of cold frustration in her belly. How long had she been carrying rocks around when the bitch hadn't even been watching her? She could have stopped to rest!

Mala strode up to her, and the princess gave her captor a furious glare. The towering Amazon just smiled thinly, and raised a leather gourd in one massive hand. She shook it, hard enough that Penelope could hear the water sloshing around inside. The princess stiffened at that welcome sound. She was just so thirsty. She needed that water, more than she'd needed anything in her life, but how could she show Mala that?

She opened her mouth, staring up at her towering captor with huge, blue eyes. Her cheeks were flushed pink, and she felt rather like a baby bird begging for food from its mother. Mala's smile widened, and she lifted the gourd to Penelope's lips. The princess quivered in relief as cold water flowed onto her waiting tongue. This was definitely worth embarrassing herself a little. She needed to survive here, even if that meant she had to do some difficult things.

Mala pulled the gourd away once Penelope had drunk a good amount. The naked princess felt much better now she'd had a chance to rest. She stood straighter, even if her arms were still aching and her butt was still burning.

\"Kana laya duri?\" The towering Amazon murmured. Penelope frowned. She wished she could understand what these bitches were saying to her. Not that it mattered, she was going to escape soon anyway. Mala grabbed her by the shoulder and spun her round before she could even think. She squeaked in shock as the Amazon's other hand settled on her lower back. Mala clicked her teeth, right next to Penelope's ear, and the naked princess froze. She didn't want to make her captor mad at her and get spanked or caned again. \"Uli nishin nakar.\" Mala sighed.

Penelope squealed when she felt the Amazon's hand drift down to her butt. She tried to wriggle away, but the hand on her shoulder easily kept her pinned. Mala's fingers found the two thin lines of pain the cane had left. The naked princess gasped as she felt her towering captor trace along each in turn. Mala was being very gentle, but it still hurt to have those awful welts touched.

She watched nervously as her cruel captor inspected the pile of rocks she'd been building. Would Mala think she'd done enough? Her hands worked over each other in front of her belly, fingers rubbing at her pale wrists. She felt so fragile right now, swimming in a sea of confusion.

\"Kana laya.\" The Amazon said at last, glancing up at the anxious princess with a warm smile. \"Laya tara mahana.\" Penelope trembled with relief. She'd done well, right? That was what this meant! Mala reached up and laid a hand on her head, rubbing warm fingers through her hair.

The princess straightened, pressing her forehead up into her captor's big palm. She felt like a puppy nuzzling at her owner. The thought made her blush and squirm in shame, but she didn't stop. Not even when Mala's hand slipped down her face and the Amazon's hard fingers gently cupped one flushed cheek.

After the awful day she'd had, she needed the comfort of a kind touch, no matter who it came from. She kept telling herself that, even if she had a nagging feeling she wouldn't be acting this way for anyone but Mala. Well, so what? Mala was the only one of these bitches who'd showed her any kindness at all. The others just laughed at her or beat her.

She was still so confused when the towering Amazon let her hand drop. Her plump lips quivered and her heart ached. What was happening to her? One minute she wanted to scream at this bitch for touching her, the next she got all sad and mopey when she couldn't get her head patted anymore.

\"Tarran ka hani, laya.\" Mala grunted, raising a finger to point at the first pile of stones. \"Kala jun yul.\" She pointed at the much smaller one Penelope had managed to build. The naked princess bristled with rage as soon as she understood. This bitch was saying she had to keep going! Even though she'd done so much already and she was so tired. She opened her mouth to scream in protest, but a single hard look from her towering captor silenced her as surely as a gag. Instead, she meekly lowered her head and shuffled over to the awful dirty rocks.

Mala watched coldly as she struggled to lift a stone and then staggered over to her small pile. Hot frustration simmered away inside her the whole time. Now she understood. That warm smile and nice patting was all a lie. The bitch didn't like her at all. Mala had only done that to trick her into staying here and moving more of these horrible rocks. Well, she was too smart for that. She'd seen right through the stupid brute.

Penelope was fuming mad as her towering captor finally turned and loped away down the field. The bitch wanted her to carry rocks, huh? Well there wasn't going to be any more of that! If they weren't going to watch her, then there wasn't any need for her to work, was there!

As soon as Mala was out of sight, she crouched down in the grass. No more rocks for her! Smiling at her own cleverness, she reached down to soothe her poor butt. The lines the cane had left were raised and prickly, the skin swollen and tender. How could anyone do this to a princess? Didn't that teenage bitch understand that she was to be pampered and treated nicely? Stupid Amazons. They didn't understand anything.

It felt so good to rest her tired shoulders and rub her tender butt. She closed her eyes and tried to imagine she was sitting on her lovely bed back home. Right now, she wanted nothing more than to lie back and order one of the maidservants to rub her feet and legs. That would feel so nice. She imagined big, warm hands pressing into her tired muscles, soothing away all the aches and pains. Big warm hands with olive skin and hard, callused fingers. Maybe then Mala could rub her back too.

She could almost feel the towering Amazon slipping her out of one of her silk shifts, baring her naked skin to those hungry dark eyes. Mala would lay her down on the bed, gently of course, but handling her little body with such breathless ease. She'd be on her stomach, spread out naked, every inch of her exposed. Her captor would lean over her, those big warm hands settling on her back to rub at her aching shoulders.

Maybe Mala would use some perfumed oil too, hot enough that it stung just a little when it was poured onto her naked skin. She shivered at the thought. Of course the Amazon wouldn't stop with her shoulders either. No, Mala would want more, and she would have to lie there and take it like a good girl.

Those huge hands would skate down to her hips, one settling over each of her trembling butt cheeks. The Amazon would squeeze and mould her soft, milk-white flesh between hard fingers, rubbing in oil until her pale skin glistened in the candlelight. Then Mala's groping hands would slip between her legs to find her aching, throbbing sex.

It'd be too much for her to take. She'd wriggle and squeak in protest, but her captor would just keep going. Yes, maybe if she squirmed too much Mala would have to hold her down with a hand on her back. Every time she thought she'd managed to distract herself, staring at clouds in the sky, or nervously watching the cows in the other field, her thoughts kept returning to her hot, needy sex. And every time she thought about touching herself, she thought about Mala too. It was enough to drive anyone mad.

She closed her eyes again, feeling exhausted. Why was she here? She'd been a good princess. Why had Grace done this to her? She'd thought and thought about it and she still didn't have any answers. Was her sister just that awful? Or had it somehow been her own fault after all?

Her eyes fluttered open, and what she saw looming over her made her shriek in panic. Mala was standing right there, hands on hips, and the most furious scowl on her olive-skinned face Penelope had ever seen.

\"Laya ka dulin!\" The angry Amazon shouted. She pointed savagely at the pile of stones, still the same size as when she'd left. Penelope screamed again as she was grabbed by the hair and dragged to her feet. \"Da vasha kan?\" Mala snapped, tugging savagely on her scalp. The princess shook her head frantically, not even sure what was being asked. The Amazon raised her hand and slapped Penelope hard across the face. The princess was flung to one side by the force of the blow, screaming in pain at the pull on her scalp. Another slap cracked across her other cheek before she even had a chance to absorb the first. \"Uli, makal jun laya!\" Mala shouted over the field, as Penelope sobbed and trembled, her face stinging so much she could hardly think.

Mala was so mad at her. She'd never seen her captor this angry, not even when she'd had her tantrum yesterday. The ferocious scowl on the towering Amazon's face sent shivers down her spine and made her heart ache inside her. She trembled and sobbed, paralysed by fear.

Whimpers of animal panic escaped her trembling lips when she saw the sadistic teenager running over, cane in hand. The young Amazon vaulted the fence like it wasn't even there. She held the cane out towards Mala, giving the sobbing Penelope a long, hard glare. The princess wept like a child, shivering and rubbing at her own wrists. So Mala was going to beat her now, not the teenager. Why did that feel so much worse?

Mala grabbed the thin cane, whipping it back and forth in her massive hand. She let go of Penelope's hair, only to grab her by the rope round her neck instead. The towering Amazon dragged the crying princess down until she was bent double. Thwack! Penelope screamed in pain as the cane instantly cracked across her butt, landing high across both her quivering cheeks. Her hands flew back, cupping her scorched skin with fingers spread as wide as she could manage.

\"Ma laya!\" Mala snapped close to her ear, that low voice trembling with cold anger. Thwack! Thwack! The cane lashed across Penelope's hands. She shrieked at this new agony. \"Ma Laya!\" Mala repeated, now just tapping the wicked stick against her fingers. Even the little hits stung.

Sobbing and whimpering, Penelope finally understood. She moved her hands away, nestling them in front of her stomach. How was she supposed to keep them there when the cane struck again? Thwack! Thwack! Two strokes, so fast she could hardly tell one from the other. Her hands clenched, so hard her nails dug into her skin. Two more lines of agony searing across her tender flesh.

Thwack! She was still screaming and stamping her feet when a third landed high on her quivering cheeks. Her hands flew back again, finding the strip of tortured flesh the cane had bit. She was convinced she'd feel blood between her fingers. The pain seemed to be everywhere, radiating from her tortured butt down into her thighs and up through her belly. Thwack! Thwack! Mala struck her where her hands weren't. The howl of pain that tore from her lips scorched her throat raw. She'd been hit just below her butt, right where it met her thighs. Bent over like this, that strip of skin was pulled tight and so very tender.

Frantically, she moved her hands back in front of her. Thwack! Thwack! Thwack! She felt light-headed, her head spinning. Three more burning welts. Her stomach clenched, and for a moment she was sure she was going to pass out or vomit. She hardly knew how she kept standing. Thwack! One last hit, the hardest yet across the middle of her butt, and she felt her legs give way underneath her. Only the rope round her neck kept her up, and she started choking as it pulled even tighter.

\"Unil kan laya.\" She heard Mala growl above her. The Amazon's voice sounded so very distant. Her whole attention was consumed by the agony in her butt. She couldn't even feel the individual welts anymore. Instead the whole area was just one throbbing mass of swollen agony.

Suddenly she realised that her neck wasn't being strangled anymore. Instead, she was being held up by two huge hands under her arms. Two hands. That meant Mala had dropped the cane. She trembled with relief, still sobbing and moaning from the pain.

Through a mist of tears she saw the teenage Amazon standing by the pole, holding the cane in one hand. With the other, she untied the rope, letting the sobbing princess loose. Then, without a second glance, she turned and strode away back into the other field.

Before Penelope's tortured mind could sort through what any of this mean, Mala lifted her up and dropped her limp body back across one shoulder. She was in far too much pain to even try and fight, and meekly let herself be carried like a sack back across the field. Little sobs wracked her body, making her chest heave against her captor's muscled back.

As the towering Amazon strode along the fence, Penelope could see the pole and the two piles of stones she was leaving behind. One so much taller than the other. Her heart sunk. How stupid could she be? Mala must have seen from a mile away that she hadn't been doing any work. It was so obvious. Yet she'd sat there like an idiot for the whole afternoon and thought she was smart for doing it.

She sobbed wetly, tears of frustration dribbling down her cheeks. It wasn't her fault. If Mala hadn't made her do this stupid, pointless work in the first place then she wouldn't have messed up at all. Why force a princess to carry rocks around and then expect her to be any good at it? It wasn't her fault.

Penelope was still crying like a child when her captor carried her back through the village and into the tent where she'd spent the night. She yelped in pain when the Amazon dropped her roughly on the same furs.

Mala was pitiless, grabbing both her arms before she could wriggle away and dragging them behind her. Each wrist was roughly yanked into the small of her back and then they were tied together with a rough length of rope. Her legs were next, bent up over her aching butt and knotted round the ankles. Just like before, one final length of rope tied everything together, so that she couldn't even lie her legs flat behind her.

With that, the furious Amazon straightened back up and strode out of the tent, her lips still curled into that angry scowl. Penelope watched her captor disappear through a mist of tears. She tried to pull at the awful ropes but found no slack in any of them. She was trapped again.

Well so what? She pouted furiously, her plump lips trembling. Why did that ginormous bitch expect her to try at all? She'd been kidnapped and dragged here. If they wanted her to work, they should find something more suitable for a princess, like knitting.

In that moment, trussed up in vicious ropes, her butt throbbing with the lingering agony of the awful cane, Penelope made a decision. She was going to escape tomorrow. The Amazons were careless. They'd left her for a long while today without anyone even watching her. Honestly, she wasn't sure why she hadn't tried to run then.

It was obvious they didn't expect her to try. They were too stupid to think of that. Tomorrow, if they put her to work again, she'd slip the rope around her neck and run away. All she had to do was follow that same path Mala had dragged her on yesterday. That would take her back to the road, and she'd be safe. Anyone in the kingdom would rush to help her once she told them who she was.

She'd be back in her father's palace by the end of the week, and her bitch of a sister Grace would be locked in the lowest dungeon cell. The young princess smiled thinly at the thought. Tomorrow, she told herself again, lost in delicious fantasies of revenge against her evil sister and these Amazon bitches too. Those lasted her up until she really started to hurt.

It was some time later before Mala returned, and by then Penelope was sobbing and thrashing like a trapped animal. Her butt was throbbing with her heartbeat, two tortured lumps of welted flesh. In a daze, the sobbing princess felt only a strange gratitude towards her tormentor for this tiny kindness. Even when the Amazon tied her hands again, much looser this time, she found she couldn't muster up the energy to get angry at her treatment.

\"Kal ma soris, laya.\" Mala sighed above her, stroking her hair with one huge hand. \"Jihan ma.\" The princess shivered like a leaf. She was happy Mala didn't seem to be angry at her anymore. It would have been so awful if she'd just been shouted at again. Her butt was still very sore, but when the Amazon touched her like this she found it didn't hurt quite as much.

Mala lifted her gently back up onto her feet, letting her stretch out her tired legs. She was whimpering and shaking as the Amazon led her back out of the tent and over to the trough. After the pain she'd just gone through, everything seemed hazy, her mind wrapped in cotton wool. She hardly even reacted when Mala grabbed the bucket and poured cold water all over her shivering body.

Then the brush was on her skin again, gently brushing up and down her trembling body. The princess felt only relief as the mud and muck of a day spent carrying rocks in a field was scrubbed from her skin. She didn't mind Mala washing her this time. In fact, she was grateful for it. The state she was in right now, she doubted she'd be able to do anything herself.

The Amazon's head snapped up, her dark eyes narrowing slightly as they found the shivering, wet princess. \"I need to, I need to use the toilet.\" Penelope murmured, her face so hot she felt like her skin was about to burst into flame.

\"Kalara din, laya?\" The Amazon stepped forward, a flicker of concern passing over her olive-skinned face. She seemed to understand something was wrong at least. Penelope trembled. She was getting desperate now, her legs shivering as her full bladder pressed into her belly.

\"I need to...um pee.\" She stammered. Mala frowned in confusion. Frantic, the princess decided her only chance lay in showing the Amazon more directly. She bent her legs like she was squatting, and pointed a trembling finger up between her thighs.

\"Ja karadu?\" The Amazon reached up and grabbed the rope round her neck. \"Kin ta.\" With a gentle tug, the trembling princess was pulled away behind the tent. Her feet danced over each other, and she bit down on her lip. Why was she so desperate? Was it just she hadn't noticed with everything else that had happened?

Mala led her a short distance away from the Amazon camp, to a patch of dry dirt. Penelope paused in confusion when the tugging round her neck had stopped, certain that her captor must have misunderstood. Then the Amazon pointed at the ground between her feet. The naked princess felt colour flood into her cheeks. Surely not?

She was so desperate now she was hopping from foot to foot like a madwoman, but the thought of peeing on the dirt like some animal was too much. Her frantic eyes stared at Mala, but the Amazon wasn't moving. Was she just going to stand there and watch?

Then she was being pulled back towards the tent. The gentle tugging gave the shivering princess something to focus on, and she silently followed her captor back inside.

Penelope couldn't stop herself from watching. She told herself she was just making sure Mala was convinced by her feigned obedience, but the truth was she couldn't look away, drinking in every glimpse of her captor's huge, muscled body. Of course, nothing else happened, and Penelope couldn't help the flicker of disappointment she felt when she watched Mala lay down on the other pile of furs, facing away. The pair were working together on washing a pile of clothes in a bucket between them, talking quietly to each other in low, hushed voices.

Two other slaves, but they were given clothes and allowed to chat. They weren't forced into carrying around dirty rocks naked like she was. Penelope clenched her fists, feeling a bitter surge of anger at the unfairness of it. So these Amazon bitches treat a princess so terribly, but let every other common peasant girl they enslave do what they want?! It was infuriating!

She had to escape today. No question about it. She couldn't stand another day here in this awful place, kept naked and dragged around around like a dog. When she realised Mala was leading her back to the field, she felt a flicker of wicked hope. If everything went the same as yesterday, she'd get her chance soon enough.

It all seemed to, at first. Waiting for her was the sadistic teenager, cane in hand. She was handed over by Mala, who then turned and strode away without even a backward glance. Penelope ignored the pang of sadness that made her feel.

Then she was tied to the same pole by the two piles of rocks, and the young Amazon stood back to let her work. She went about it carefully. It would be stupid to tire herself out hauling rocks, but at the same time she couldn't risk Mala realising she'd been slacking off. The welts from her caning yesterday were still aching and swollen. The teenager seemed satisfied with her pace, and she slowly went about hauling the heavy stones over to her own little pile. As the morning dragged on, she noticed how cool it still was. It was tied rather tightly, and she really had to work her fingernails into the knot to loosen it at all. It took a few precious minutes, but at last she found a small space between the tied length of rope and teased it apart. The rope fell away from her throat, and she gasped for air, rubbing at her tender skin. How could she have gotten so used to having that thing round her neck?

It didn't matter. All that mattered now was getting away. She glanced back at the other field, and saw to her relief that the teenager was still staring at the cows. She turned and ran for the fence. It took a good couple tries for her to get her leg on top of the wood, wincing as it rubbed against her thighs. As she tried to lift her body over, she caught her foot on the other side and tripped, falling flat on her face in a patch of muddy grass and sliding forward on the wet soil.

It would be okay to rest for a little while, wouldn't it? Plus, she needed to figure out which way she was supposed to go.

Thinking back, she'd spent most of that journey sprinting for her life, so focused on keeping up with the Amazon's horse that she hadn't been able to spare a thought for her surroundings. The road and her Father's kingdom could be any direction, it could even be back the way she'd came.

That thought brought a wave of despair that made her sob out loud. All this time, she could have been running the wrong way. She hadn't even thought of that, and she was paying for her stupidity now. No problem, she tried to tell herself. She'd just have to pick a way at random and then see what she found. There were sure to be signs if she was heading towards the road.

She chose her route and set off again, too tired to do anything but walk awkwardly. Her feet slapped against the wet mud, sending spatters of water up her pale legs. It was getting towards evening now, and it was getting cold too. She hadn't realised how quickly the rain would steal the warmth from her skin. Maybe she should have waited until tomorrow after all.

The grass seemed endless. An endless, featureless sea of green, swaying in cool gusts of wind that made the naked princess shiver. Penelope felt like she'd been walking for hours, but she had no way of telling how long it had been since she'd run. The only way she could tell time was passing at all was how it slowly got colder and darker and worse for her.

It was very cold now, and dark. She hadn't realised how cold it got at night. Had she ever even been outside when it was dark before? She couldn't remember the last time. Her nights back at the palace were spent in her room, wrapped in soft sheets with a blazing fire to warm her. Here, it was so cold her hands and feet were starting to go numb.

She was getting hysterical, the panic growing beyond something she could control. Her lips were shaking, little whimpers escaping up her trembling throat. What would happen if she couldn't find the road? Should she turn back before things got any worse? Should she go back to Mala?

Her legs were shaking so much she could hardly walk anymore. With her muscles this tired, she knew it was only a matter of time before her body gave up. She could almost see it now, a little pale princess collapsed in the grass, overcome by cold and exhaustion. If she fell over now, would she even be able to get up again?

As if in answer to that awful thought, her foot caught on something in the grass. She was falling forward before she could think, too cold and scared to even move her hands and catch herself. She hit the wet ground hard, landing in a puddle of mud. Dirty water splashed across her face and she screamed wordlessly, terrified she was drowning. Her hands were shaking so much she couldn't even lift herself out of the mud.

Helpless, she curled up around her shivering body, clutching her legs to her chest as she lay in a pool of dirty water. She was shaking and rocking as the wind howled over her. There was no thought in her head of Grace, her parents, or the luxurious life of a princess that had once been hers.

Instead, she longed for the comfort of Mala's huge, warm hands on her skin, holding her tight, all the places she needed to be held. There was a wet thud as feet landed in the mud somewhere nearby. She heard the rustle of leather, but it was moving further away. Someone looking for her?

\"Laya!\" A familiar voice called out into the rain, low and rough. \"Laya, kasta vaha!\"

\"Mala.\" Penelope tried to shout back, but her voice was so soft and weak. \"Mala!\" She tried again. Her hands slipped on the wet mud as she tried to force herself to rise. \"Mala! Please, I'm over here!\" The pounding of running feet, and suddenly Penelope was sobbing with relief as the face of her Amazon loomed over her. Mala was drenched with rain, her dark eyes huge. The towering woman was breathing hard.

She reached down, grabbing Penelope by the neck and waist. The naked princess was weeping like a child as she was pulled back up into her Amazon's chest. Mala was wearing a fur cloak over her massive shoulders, and she wrapped it round Penelope's body.

\"Kirana laya.\" The Amazon spat, her hands rubbing hard at the frozen skin of Penelope's arms and legs. The princess whimpered softly, feeling warmth returning to her fingers and toes.

She was carried like a shivering child over to the side of Mala's massive horse. The towering woman lifted her over the animal's back, then jumped up after her. The naked princess shivered as she was wrapped in her Amazon's muscular arms. The fur cloak settled over her, a shelter from the rain that made her feel so grateful her heart cracked inside her chest.

Mala clicked her teeth, and the horse started forward, broad back bounding up into Penelope's hips. The naked princess whimpered in fear, but then she felt her Amazon's arms wrap even tighter round her body, pulling her close and holding her there so she wouldn't fall. Even now, after she'd been so naughty and run away, Mala was making sure she was safe. Why did that hurt so much?

\"I'm sorry.\" She whispered, two words in the pouring rain. Had she ever said them before in her life? How she wished Mala could understand her, understand that. She wished it with all her heart, but her Amazon only clicked her teeth and urged the horse onward.

Even dazed with cold and panic, Penelope realised that they arrived back at the camp far too quickly. She hadn't made it very far at all. Had she been going in circles all along? Another blow to her stupid escape plan.

She felt so funny, her body limp and wan as it bounced helplessly on the horse's back. Even her vision had gone dark and fuzzy, like the world had been bleached of all warmth and colour around her. The dazed princess hardly even noticed as the horse thundered to a halt underneath her.

She swayed, almost falling, before Mala leapt off the horse behind her and grabbed her tightly in two huge hands. She was lifted back into her Amazon's tight embrace, sheltered from the rain by that warm fur cloak.

Mala carried her, limp and shivering, back into the camp. She heard muffled voices as if from so far away, low and rough in the strange Amazon language. Mala snarled back, spitting fury. Penelope trembled at the anger in her Amazon's voice. Oh no, she must have made Mala so very mad by running away. Why hadn't she thought of that? Why hadn't she thought of anything?

Moments later, the naked princess found herself carried back into the tent by her Amazon. Mala dropped onto the blankets as soon as they were inside, shrugging off her drenched cloak and tossing it away across the floor. She crushed Penelope against her chest, her warm hands rubbing furiously at the arms and legs of the shivering princess. It helped, a little.

Penelope found herself drifting in and out of a daze. The two of them were wrapped in blankets now, her small, naked body pressed against her Amazon. She wondered distantly at how hot the massive woman's olive skin felt on her own.

Then the next moment Mala was speaking softly to her, and there was a bowl of something pressed against her lips. Her mouth opened in dull obedience, and a hot, bitter liquid poured onto her tongue. She coughed and spluttered, scarcely able to swallow.

Mala tried again, lifting the bowl back towards her mouth. She tried to shake her head, but her Amazon was insistent, holding her mouth open and pouring the stuff down her throat. It burned all the way down and she squeaked in protest, but as soon as it was settled in her belly she felt the warmth spread through her whole body. She greedily drank more from her Amazon's hand, until Mala pulled the bowl away.

\"Kana laya.\" The towering woman murmured in her ear, a big hand rubbing down her back. Warmer now, Penelope lay against her Amazon's chest, her head resting on hot olive skin, wrapped in blankets and strong, muscular arms. She was tired, so very tired. It was okay to sleep now, right? Mala was here to protect her. Her eyes fluttered closed, and she wriggled even closer to her Amazon's warm body. She was out in seconds, slipping into a deep, dreamless sleep.

Penelope woke with a start the next morning. For a few, long moments she didn't know where she was. Her eyes were very heavy, and she felt like she'd been asleep for days. She forced them open and found herself staring at Mala's olive-skinned face. The Amazon was asleep, lying down next to her and breathing softly. They were both under one blanket, and the huge woman's muscled arm lay across her shoulders, keeping her pinned.

The young princess gazed up at her sleeping captor through long lashes, wondering what she was supposed to do now. She'd tried to run away yesterday, failed miserably of course, but she'd still tried. Then Mala had come and saved her life. What did that mean for her?

Well, for one thing it was clear trying to escape again was pointless. She'd been utterly unprepared. There was absolutely no way she was ever going to be able to make it back to the road across those endless fields of grass. Just the thought of trying made her sick with fear. Did that mean she was just supposed to stay a slave? Do as Mala said? It felt like her only option right now.

Sighing softly, Penelope snuggled closer to the Amazon's big olive-skinned body. It would be nice if they could just lie like this for a while longer. She had no doubt there was going to be some painful punishment waiting for her as soon as Mala woke. It was a strange feeling for the pampered princess. She realised she'd never really had to deal with anything like it before. Back home, even when she did something she knew was really bad, she could just throw a tantrum and leave her parents too exhausted to do anything about it.

Mala didn't listen to her screaming, or let her thrash around like a frustrated child. If the Amazon thought she'd done something naughty, then she got punished right there and then. The same was going to happen to her as soon as Mala woke. What would it be this time? The cane? She could almost feel the thin stick cracking hard across her trembling flesh, leaving a thin line of white-hot agony. No, she didn't like the cane much.

Maybe Mala would just spank her again. She shivered, imagining the Amazon gazing down at her with a cold, superior frown. Mala had seen her yesterday shivering wet in that muddy puddle like some drowning rat. Penelope sobbed wetly, suddenly feeling uglier than she ever had in her life. Not only was she tiny and stupid-looking, she was dirty too. All her life she'd thought other women hated her because she was prettier than them. Now she finally knew the truth. They were all laughing at her.

\"Laya, das ishi mon?\" Suddenly there was a large hand on her cheek, and her head was lifted up. Her tear-filled gaze found her captor's olive-skinned face, and her heart ached at the concern she saw there. \"Kana laya.\" The Amazon smiled gently at her, and patted her on the head. The sound of heavy footsteps from up ahead tore her from her misery. She glanced up and gasped as she saw Mala fully dressed now in her fur clothes, flanked on either side by the young teenager who'd been so cruel to her and another Amazon she didn't recognise. The hard look on her captor's face was enough. She knew what was going to happen now. It was time for her punishment for running away.

Penelope swallowed hard as Mala stepped over to the trough to untie her. She'd learnt there was no point in fighting this, or trying to plead for mercy. The Amazons wouldn't understand anyway, and they were far too strong for her to overpower. All she could do was obey and hope that meant they'd go easier on her. It went against her every instinct. She wanted to run away screaming, or pull and thrash against the rope round her neck, but all that would do was make Mala even madder at her.

She meekly let herself be led back through the camp. A few of the Amazons hard at work paused to look at her, and she noticed their low, distasteful murmurs and shaking of heads. Each disgusted look was another stab of pain in her wavering heart.

The shivering princess soon found herself at the edge of the camp. There, buried in the ground, were two long wooden poles, about twice Penelope's height. Standing beside them was the old Amazon with the silver hair, muscled arms crossed over her chest and a bored expression on her wrinkled face. The young princess whimpered softly at the sight. Suddenly she knew this was going to be so much worse than a spanking.

Mala dragged her right between the poles with a few sharp tugs of the rope round her neck. She flinched when her captor turned back to face her. The Amazon's face was cold, with none of the gentle concern she thought she'd seen during her bath.

Mala straightened, towering above her, a muscled statue of hard, olive flesh. Penelope winced as the Amazon glared down at her. It had almost seemed yesterday like Mala hadn't been too angry about her failed escape attempt. Now, the shivering princess knew her captor was furious at her. The old Amazon appeared to one side, narrowed eyes flickering up and down Penelope's helpless, naked body. Her lips were curled into a scornful frown.

\"Mala, laya dun karatar.\" She growled, giving Mala a cold look. \"Na darast.\"

\"Uli, kala ran.\" Mala snapped, holding out a hand to her side. Her gaze never left Penelope's face, even when the teenager darted over holding out a long, black whip. The young princess sobbed, her wide gaze fixed on the wicked coiled snake of dark leather now in her captor's hand. Mala was going to whip her now. That one thought made her belly clench in animal terror until she thought she was going to vomit.

\"Ma laya daran tor.\" The older Amazon sneered down at her, unimpressed by her obvious panic. Bitch! Penelope thought with wild, panicked rage. How dare she?

\"Kikiri na, oma.\" Mala grunted, sounding bitter, then she moved away, circling round behind the shivering princess. Penelope was breathing so hard she felt like she was on the verge of passing out. Her fluttering gaze found the contemptuous face of the old Amazon. This was her fault, the young princess realised with a sudden furious certainty. Mala would never do something so cruel to her. This wrinkled bitch must have forced her Amazon into it! She opened her mouth to shriek in rage, fury bubbling inside her like a wildfire.

Whap! Her voice died in a strangled gasp as something cracked across her stretched back. For a moment she was stunned at the impact, which seemed to have forced every breath of air out of her lungs. Then came the pain. It was indescribable, a slash of white-hot fire across a thin band of tortured skin. She tried to breathe in and scream at the same time. All that emerged from her shuddering lips was a whimpering gurgle. Whap! She felt the whip wrap round her side, a tail of wicked leather kissing her belly.

The howl of agony that tore up her throat sounded inhuman. She thrashed in the bonds, pulling so tightly the rope rubbed her raw. Her fingers clenched tight, nails digging into her palms. Whap! Another slash across her back. She wallowed in pain, pain that seemed to take every part of her in its wicked claw. She could never have imagined anything could hurt this much. Whap! Her eyes were full of tears, more spilling down her cheeks with each sobbing breath. Through the mist of agony, her frantic gaze settled on the wrinkled face of her tormentor, glaring down at her with so much cold contempt. Why did this old bitch hate her so much? Whap! Another vicious crack across her back. She had to be bleeding now. A scream tore up her lips as she felt blood trickle down her skin. It was so loud and piercing it hurt her own ears.

When the sound died away, her lungs empty, she suddenly realised there had been no more strikes with the whip. Her back burned, the agony growing more and more intense with every beat of her trembling heart. Each pulse sent so much pain through her tortured skin it made her try to thrash again in the tight bonds.

\"Ji kara dan.\" The old bitch spat, glancing over her shivering shoulders.

\"Oma, dar katar!\" Mala snapped. Penelope shuddered, realising her towering captor now stood just behind her. The Amazon's hands were on one of her wrists, and she realised she was going to get untied. Only, Mala had stopped now. Why?

\"Mala, laya ka travani, dos mahana.\" The silver-haired Amazon growled, in a voice that sounded accustomed to obedience. Mala hesitated for a few long moments, huge hands still clutching at the rope round Penelope's wrist. When the sobbing princess felt her captor step away, she screamed again in agony and despair. Was she going to be left here?

\"Kana laya.\" Mala whispered softly, very close to her ear. \"Kin matar, dos laya va kani.\" Once again, Penelope found herself wishing she could understand her captor's rough voice. What the Amazon was saying sounded so warm and soothing, just the words seemed to calm her down. She was able to keep her lips pursed shut around another shriek of agony, even when she heard the only person in the world who seemed to care about her stepping away.

The old bitch nodded, looking satisfied, then strode round the bound princess without a second look. Penelope found the energy to give her a vicious look as she passed. Mala may have been the one holding the whip, but as far as she was concerned, this wrinkly old cunt was the one to blame. Every pulse of vicious agony from her tortured back curdled to bitter anger, and she longed to give the grey-haired bitch a taste of what she'd just suffered.

She heard footfalls from behind her, and realised everyone was going to leave her here. Even in her tortured state she understood what had happened. This was more punishment. She was going to be left hanging here with her back whipped to ribbons until that old bitch was satisfied she'd suffered enough. Her lips curled and she ground her teeth around another savage wave of white-hot pain.

She wanted to scream so badly, but she wouldn't give the wrinkly old Amazon the satisfaction of hearing her. Instead she slumped forward in her bonds, letting the vicious pain wash over her. A few hoarse sobs wracked her body, but she didn't shriek, no matter how much it hurt. She was proud of herself for that, in a kind of distant way.

Pride didn't last her very long. She was still a pampered princess, raised in silk and finery. The agony of her throbbing back, the painful pull of the ropes stretching her naked body out so viciously, even the disappointment of knowing Mala had left her here, all three had soon left her in utter despair. She was crying again, hot, painful tears that dripped down onto her heaving chest.

Then she heard light footfalls of someone slipping up behind her. She whimpered in broken fear, terrified she was about to feel the kiss of the whip once more. Instead, the new arrival darted round in front of her, and her gaze widened in stunned surprise. The brunette slave-girl stood in front of her, holding a clay bowl of water in her slender fingers.

\"Help me.\" She whispered, in a tiny, broken voice. The girl might not look like an Amazon, but somehow she still didn't expect to be understood. It was something of a shock when the slave glanced at her face, brown eyes widening. \"Help, please.\" She repeated.

\"I can't.\" The girl replied softly. \"I shouldn't even be talking to you. Mistress Mala just wanted you watered, that's all.\" She lifted the bowl up to the sobbing princess. Penelope let her lips drop open. She was desperate to talk to someone. Just hearing her own language instead of the rough Amazon tongue filled her with shuddering relief. But she was very thirsty too. The girl wasn't as good at this as Mala. She poured too much, and Penelope spluttered and coughed as water went down her windpipe. \"Sorry.\" The slave whispered, then tried again. The young princess drank greedily, sucking down mouthfuls of delicious cold water.

When the bowl was empty, the girl lowered it to her waist. She turned like she was going to run away, but her eyes flickered one last time to Penelope's face, wide with sympathy. The young princess swallowed frantically, knowing this was her last chance to get the slave to stay.

\"What's your name?\" Penelope asked, before the girl could slip away.

\"Harriet.\" The slave replied quietly. \"My name is Harriet.\"

\"I'm Penelope.\" The young princess managed a weak smile.

\"Don't let them hear you say that.\" Harriet whispered, leaning in with a worried look on her face. \"Right now, you're not allowed a human name.\"

\"What?\" Penelope frowned in confusion. Since when?

\"Haven't you heard what they call you?\" The slave asked. \"Laya, right?\" Penelope sniffled wetly as another wave of agony sunk into her tortured flesh. She had heard that word, a lot as it turned out. It had just never quite registered before. \"It means like a young, female cow, a heifer.\" Harriet explained, with a sympathetic smile. Penelope flinched in her bonds. \"On your first day here, you screamed at the matriarch. She decided you needed to be broken, trained, like an animal. The cow part was Mistress Kiri's idea. She's mean when she can be.\"

\"What?\" Penelope repeated, her mind reeling.

\"Mistress Mala wasn't happy about it, but she has to do what the matriarch says.\" Harriet continued blithely, like she'd just said hadn't collapsed the princess' whole world around her. \"That's why they make you work in the fields, to be among your own kind. Mistress Mala keeps asking the matriarch to change her mind, but you're not making it very easy for her, what with the running away and all.\"

\"A cow?\" Penelope spluttered, ashes of anger blazing into new, furious life.

\"You shouldn't have screamed at the matriarch.\" Harriet suddenly sounded so snide and superior, a know-it-all bitch just like Grace. Penelope bristled, the mere thought of her treacherous sister making her even angrier. \"She's a fair woman, but she really hates disrespect. I know, I'm her slave and she treats me well enough.\"

\"How dare you?\" The young princess snapped, her voice going high and cold like it always did when she was at her most furious. \"She enslaved me, and I'm supposed to bow down and kiss her feet? I'm not like that, not like you!\"

\"You're noble, right?\" Harriet sneered, spitting the word like it was a curse. \"I can tell from how posh you speak. Well, I'm not. I was a brothel girl. My pimp enslaved me, he was going to sell me to the copper mines as a relief girl for the workers. Amazons raided the convoy and the matriarch chose me as her prize. Now I get treated right. They feed me, look after me, and I just have to please one woman when she wants me. It's a much better life than most peasant girls get.\" Penelope stared at her, open mouthed in shock. This stupid girl liked being a slave? \"Maybe you'll understand that sooner than you think, little heifer.\" Harriet lent closer, a mean smile on her lips. \"I've heard the Amazon's talking about you. A lot of them think you're just too stupid to train. They're trying to persuade Mistress Mala to sell you off in one of the cities. My old customers in the brothels would pay for a fortune for a plump little morsel like you.\"

Penelope stared at the older girl, tears in her eyes. For one moment she'd thought she'd found someone sympathetic in this awful place. Even better, someone who could understand her. Now it seemed like Harriet was just as terrible as the rest of them. She whimpered in pain, unable to fight the agony radiating from her back any longer.

\"Kastaban!\" The slave-girl froze, concern flickering over her face as a low voice boomed over them. \"Kolos da!\" Penelope gasped in relief, recognising Mala. Harriet flinched away like she'd been stung. She turned just as the towering Amazon strode over to her, shoulders shaking. \"Kamar sen laya, Harri.\" Mala spat, fury in her dark eyes.

\"Kolin na, unil Mala.\" Harriet simpered in the Amazon language. Penelope smirked to herself, pleased to see this awful girl being bulled by her Amazon.

\"Iri ma Oma dun.\" Mala pointed furiously back towards the camp. Harriet lowered herself into an odd little curtsy and turned to dart away. Smack! The rude slave-girl squealed in pain as Mala's hand cracked across her butt. She scurried away like a frightened mouse. Penelope felt her smile fade. Of course she was happy to see that mean bitch punished, but seeing Mala touch another girl like that stung somehow. She shook her head. Stupid!

Mala turned to look at her, dark eyes flickering up her tortured body. Penelope shrank back at first, the memory of that awful whipping still far too raw. That wasn't Mala's fault though, she told herself. None of this was! Harriet had told her so. All the terrible things being done to her were because of that wrinkly old bitch, not Mala! Her Amazon was kind to her!

She relaxed in the ropes, some of the tension easing from her strained muscles. When the towering woman lent in towards her, she even managed a shy little smile despite the pain she was in.

\"Kara mahan do, laya.\" Mala sighed. Penelope trembled at that awful word, laya. Why did Mala have to call her such a horrible thing too? She wasn't a cow. Even if her boobs were big.

\"I'm Penelope.\" She sobbed, desperate to hear her real name now. \"Penelope.\"

\"Na ma, laya.\" The tall woman shook her head. \"Laya karatar Oma ran.\" Penelope blinked away a few painful tears. Even if it was hard to tell from that gruff voice, she was sure her Amazon was trying to comfort her.

Sure enough, Mala held out a small bowl in front of her face, filled with the same white cream that had been put on her welts from the cane. She nodded frantically, desperate to have the same for the burning lines of agony traced across her back and sides.

Mala stepped round behind her, and she stiffened, terrified of how it would feel for someone else to touch her throbbing skin. It was a surprise when all she felt was a soothing coolness tracing across one of the welts across her back. Mala carefully rubbed the cream into each thin line of fire. The touch itself stung a little but nothing like as bad as she'd expected. She relaxed into her bonds, enjoying the calming balm and the delicate caresses of her Amazon's hard fingers.

When the last welt running round her flank had been covered in the soothing cream she felt much better. Her eyes were sore from crying so much, but at least the tears seemed to have stopped for now. Even better, the pain from her back was almost entirely gone. Of course, she wasn't entirely happy. Something about having her Amazon's fingers tracing up and down her naked skin, knowing Mala was standing right there seeing every part of her, it had all made her feel very restless indeed. Her face was flushed hot, and her belly was fluttering madly.

\"Oshin laya.\" Mala breathed behind her, very close to her ear. She shivered at the rough heat in her Amazon's low voice. It reminded her of that first night, the terror she'd felt, certain that this massive woman was going to rape her somehow. Only now, she was rather less afraid. Pinned like this, her naked body spread, she could admit the thought was more than a little exciting.

A hungry little squeal escaped her lips when she felt Mala's huge hand on her butt. Her Amazon patted one soft cheek then the other, and she felt her plump curves jiggle as they sprang back into shape. Her skin burned, but it was nothing like the fiery agony of the whip or cane. Instead this heat sunk deep inside her, tickling at her insides and making her privates ache. Her hips rolled back without her say-so, presenting her quivering butt for more.

Mala wasn't satisfied with just teasing her. She rolled onto her heels, pulling against the ropes, when that huge hand settled over one of her quivering cheeks. Hard fingers squeezed in, squeezing and moulding her soft, pale flesh between them. Mala made a low, rough growl in her ear, one that turned her legs to jelly. She was blushing furiously and panting like a dog. A needy tremble ran through her whole body each time her Amazon's hard fingers squashed into her plump flesh.

It was such a disappointment when that big warm hand withdrew. She wriggled in her strict bonds, her hips bucking and rolling. Her hands twitched with longing, desperate to get down between her legs and soothe her aching sex. Only the pain of the ropes rubbing on her delicate skin made her stop.

Mala chucked, a rough, low sound that made the blushing princess shiver. Then her big, strong Amazon turned and strode away, leaving her hanging there panting with a need she barely understood. She moaned with hot frustration, glancing down her needy body. Her nipples were so hard they looked like they could cut glass. Stupid Mala! Why touch her like that and do nothing else about it?

It took a rather long time for her eager body to calm down from that. She stood there, flushed scarlet, wriggling and panting. Her hands constantly tested the strength of the ropes keeping them spread, eager for a tiny bit of slack she could exploit. If Mala had just untied one, she could get her fingers down between her legs and soothe this aching itch. The feeling of utter helplessness, knowing she had to stay right here until her Amazon let her loose, only seemed to add fuel to the fire.

At last though, she was able to stay still long enough. There was still a lingering frustration between her thighs that was rather too distracting, but she was able to focus her thoughts on something other then Mala's big hands molesting her.

Harriet might have been awful to her, but the slave girl had told Penelope some important things anyway. This was all happening because she'd lost her temper that first day. Since she couldn't escape again, she was going to have to make things better for herself right here. That meant being good and obedient, persuading that mean nasty old Amazon that she could be a person rather than a cow.

No doubt there were more rocks waiting for her in that dirty field. With a little more thought, she realised the hard, pointless work had to be some kind of weird test. It seemed so obvious now, but it had just never occurred to her. No wonder she'd thought it was okay to slack off. She'd have to try her very best to carry as many as she could next time and show that she could do as she was told.

It was evening by the time Mala returned, alone this time. Penelope gasped in relief when she felt her Amazon gently untie both her wrists, and then her ankles. Her muscles ached after so long stretched out, and her legs were shaking so much she could hardly stand. Without even a word of warning, Mala lifted her up in two strong hands and dropped her back over one shoulder. Penelope squeaked in shock, but it was a very feeble protest.

Her Amazon seemed to like carrying her like this, and she had to admit she kind of liked it too. It left her very helpless and exposed, but she was learning those things made her a little too excited when Mala was involved. Her blush had returned with a vengeance by the time her Amazon ducked back into the tent and dropped her on the furs.

She was smiling as Mala pulled the fur over her naked body. Her Amazon hadn't tied her up this time, knowing that she wasn't going to ever try escaping again. The thought of this fierce woman trusting her like that made her heart soar. It was disappointing of course, watching Mala strip off and lay down in the other bed, knowing nothing else was going to happen to her tonight, but as Penelope drifted away into sleep she realised she was feeling more comfortable than she had in a long time. Things would get better for her soon. She knew that now. She just had to work hard, be a good girl and Mala would like her.
