The sounds of clanking dishes and tired waitstaff permeate\n\tup from Mr. Gi's Noodle Trading Company, the ramen shack beneath her room. She can hear the tyrannical barks of Mr. Gi, her landlord, as he berates his staff.

Playing\n\ton her half-busted radio is a tape of oldies from the 2010s, the\n\tkind of stuff you'd find on clearance racks or on the Digitals\n\tsection of a thrift store. Chernika is a fighter at heart, but she\n\tknows how to keep herself focused when she needs to think. In her\n\thands is the manila envelope that appeared on her doorstep earlier\n\tthat morning, which she had been contemplating all day. Inside it,\n\twas a job.

The\n\tanonymous sender has requested her services, based on a quality\n\trecord in the gangs. They want Chernika to find Ms. Laura Grey, who has\n\trecently gone missing. The sender claims that Ms. Grey is in\n\tpossession of sensitive crypto-data, stored in her naval piercing,\n\tbut was recently kidnapped by Ludo's Crew, an up-and-coming crime\n\tsyndicate. The sender is offering 1500 credits for the safe recovery\n\tof Ms. Grey's piercing, and an extra 250 for the return of Grey\n\therself.

Within\n\tthe envelope is a picture of Laura: a petite, dark-skinned young\n\twoman with curly brown hair and a face that break a heart on\n\tcontact. The envelope also includes and advance payment of 150\n\tcredits. That's enough for groceries, but not enough for rent.

Chernika know Ludo runs The Harddrive, a seedy pleasure club down town, which\n\tus most likely where Laura is being held. But she also know that\n\tgoing in guns-blazing is a good way to get shot. So, she'll need a\n\tplan, and maybe some help.

This job was important, rent needed to\n\tbe made and if she had to work in Mr. Gi's shop again to cover the\n\tdistance, well she'd rather he just forced her to pay him with sex\n\thonestly. What\n\treally surprises her is the line out front. It's short, but she don't\n\tremember the Harddrive having a bouncer. The hulking android in the\n\tblack suit blocks the front door, regularly checking his clipboard\n\t(guest list?) before admitting people.

Chernika takes a walk around the block. No windows on the first floor. She can\n\tsee a balcony, but she can hear people up there, so she can't just\n\tscramble up to it. The back entrance is open, looks like it leads to\n\tthe kitchen, or maybe it's a loading area? There's one more door,\n\ttucked in the corner with a nice façade, but the armed guards (PF\n\tCarbines? Super Shotguns?) make Chernika decide to keep her distance.

So,\n\tthat's 4 street entrances: 2 guarded, 1 with civvies, and 1 clear.

She\n\talways hated riding the rail. Even as she keeps her distance on the\n\ttrain it was rather crowded.
