A very pretty girl stands in the middle of the drab village hall. If anything, the dullness of the setting makes her beauty stand out in even starker relief. The President explained that he would like her to come down to the village hall for a little bit of a chat “to see if things couldn’t be sorted out”. She was perfectly free to say no of course but then he really would have no alternative than to pass the video on to her husband. He also added that several copies had been made and that while he would do his best, there was no guarantee of them not falling into the wrong hands. So it really would be best, all things considered, if she were able to pop down and have a little chat with some of the concerned local residents.

That was how Caroline found herself in the very wrong hands of the Bridley Residents Association or the special disciplinary sub-committee to be more precise. The sub-committee was devoted to maintain the highest moral standards through whatever means necessary and took a dim view of young wives who played fast and loose with their marital vows. This evening the sub-committee comprised four members: The President Archie, Stan, the membership secretary, Brian one of the newest members and James Ritman a stickler for proper procedure.

Caroline had heard rumours about the Association and so she was understandably nervous as she drove up to the building. The glass of wine hadn’t really done much to steady her nerves and she wished she could have got away with another one but that would have put her over the limit for driving. Apart from anything else, the fact that her liaison with the young meathead had been discovered was deeply embarrassing to a young woman who liked to portray herself as the image of propriety.

She checked her make up in the wing mirror, got out and smoothed her skirt down and then walked slowly down the gravel path. She knocked sheepishly on the heavy wooden door. The sound of her high heels on the gravel had already alerted the committee to her arrival and the door opened suddenly. A short portly man with a jovial expression greeted her.

“Ah, Mrs. Redland, glad you could make it. Do come in. I am sure we can get this all sorted out.”

His manner almost put her at ease but as he escorted her in, his hand slipped down her back and very obviously rested on her bottom. In case she thought this was accidental he made a point of patting it a couple of times.

“Just stand there” he told her pointing to a space in the middle of the floor. The other men were seated at a long table looking every bit the Inquisition they had styled themselves. Archie now re-joined his colleagues.

“Well, we are in a bit of a pickle aren’t we Mrs. Redland? You can of course try to deny anything but the video evidence is pretty compelling. We could review it, if you like”

“No!” she gasped.

“Very well then, as you know, the Association takes a very dim view of this sort of thing, particularly when it involves our impressionable youth.” Under different circumstances this would have made her laugh. “Some members of the committee were minded to simply hand this matter over to your husband and let him sort it out but the consensus was that we might be able to sort this out in house, as it were”

“So, we thought we would bring you in for a little chat and depending upon how well you acquit yourself we might be prepared to let matters rest. I am sure you are as keen as we are to avoid scandal.”

The members of the committee nodded except for Ritman who had a mildly irritated expression on his sour face.

“Yes, I would like that, I think” Caroline said breathily. “I am sure that would be for the best”

“Splendid” Archie replied “well let’s get down to business shall we. Take off your clothes”

The woman look startled.

“Don’t make us repeat ourselves, bitch” Ritman now interjected. “ You heard the man, now do it before I have to come down there and rip them off”

“Yes, let’s have a look at what all the fuss is about” added Stan

She shuffled uncomfortably in the gaze of four men. It didn’t take long for her to work out that disobedience was not an option. She could have made a bolt for the door but the four men were between her and it. So, while desperately trying to avoid making eye contact she began to remove her jacket, skirt and blouse to reveal bright red knickers and a matching bra. She now wished she had worn something less glamorous.

“Mmm, very nice. You can leave those on for the time being.” Archie said pointedly.

She stood there wondering what do with her hands. She would desperately have liked to cover herself but every time she made an attempt to do so, Ritman’s glare discouraged her, so her arms hung redundantly by her side.

“Put them on your head so we can get a better look at you” Archie told her.
