Rebecca Collins suspected there was at least a decent chance that she was going to fail Calculus no matter what she did. It was practically a coin toss at this point. “Alice, you do realize the final exam is next week, right?” said Rebecca.

“I’m going to fail anyways, so I’ll just retake the class next semester, right?” said Alice.

Somehow, against all odds, this was probably one of the few times that Alice turned out to be right. Rebecca tried to think of a response to say. Out of everyone else in the class however, Alice was probably the only one who had a score lower than hers.
